How do you fight fear with faith?

When it comes to fighting the enemy it’s important to know when God has given us the strength to fight and when He fights on our behalf. Every fight is not our responsibility, but those that are come with armor and instructions!

In this episode of The Faith Based Storyteller Show we sat down with a true faith fighter and “satan sasser”, Charlene Warren.

Embracing Resilience Amid Adversity

Charlene Warren’s journey began amidst adversity, shaped by the absence of a father figure and the struggles of a single mother battling mental illness. Yet, through resilience and a fighting spirit, she discovered her purpose, recognizing that every hurdle was a stepping stone to resilience and empowerment.

Micayla Robertson: Let’s delve right into your passion for fighting fear. Where did this journey begin for you?

Charlene Warren: Fear has been a constant companion in my life, stemming from growing up without a father and facing the challenges of having a single mother battling mental illness. But alongside this, I’ve always had a fighter’s spirit. I believe it’s part of how God made me—sassy and resilient. Overcoming various life hurdles instilled in me the resilience to rise from defeat, recognizing that God has uniquely designed each of us for a purpose.

Micayla Robertson: That’s powerful. So how did this realization translate into your mission to help others combat fear?

Charlene Warren: It all started with a prayer to understand what breaks God’s heart. Through introspection and faith, I discovered that God is saddened by seeing His children consumed by fear, anxiety, and depression, preventing them from living out their intended purpose. This revelation ignited my passion to empower others to rise above their fears and embrace their calling.

Empowering Others to Conquer Fear

Driven by a deep understanding of God’s compassion, Charlene embarked on a mission to help others confront their fears, head on. Through introspection and faith, she guides us through recognizing the source of our fears and discovering the strength within ourselves to overcome.

Micayla Robertson: You have an inspiring analogy about God being your trainer in the ring, guiding you to overcome your battles. How do you help individuals recognize the fight within themselves?

Charlene Warren: It begins with understanding the source of fear and anxiety. Often, people are unaware that they’re engaged in a battle against these adversaries. By fostering awareness and reminding them of their identity in Christ, I guide them to confront their fears head-on. Recognizing that fear does not align with God’s plan for their lives is the first step toward victory.

Micayla Robertson: That’s profound. Moving beyond fear, you also emphasize the importance of embracing one’s identity in Christ. Can you share your journey toward discovering and living in this identity?

Charlene Warren: My journey toward embracing my identity in Christ started in 2015, but it wasn’t until recent years that I truly began to live it out. Facing personal trials and surrendering everything to God allowed me to understand His unwavering love and provision. Through struggles and loss, I learned to rely solely on Him, ultimately shaping my identity as His beloved child.

Finding Healing and Wholeness in God’s Plan

Charlene’s journey toward embracing her identity in Christ led her to a profound understanding of God’s love and provision. Through her upcoming book “Fighting Fear” and previous work “Flaming Arrows,” she equips readers to dismantle the lies of the enemy, renew their minds with biblical truths, and experience healing and restoration in body, mind, and spirit.

Micayla Robertson: Your upcoming book, “Fighting Fear,” sounds like a transformative resource. How does it guide readers through the process of overcoming fear?

Charlene Warren: “Fighting Fear” is a reflection of my own journey, offering readers insights and practical strategies to confront their fears. Each chapter provides encouragement and actionable steps to combat fear, emphasizing the importance of trusting God’s plan. By sharing personal experiences and biblical truths, I aim to empower individuals to conquer fear and pursue their God-given purpose.

Micayla Robertson: Your previous work, “Flaming Arrows,” addresses overcoming the lies of the enemy. What are some common challenges women face in this battle, and how do you help them navigate through it?

Charlene Warren: Women often struggle with issues related to identity, worth, and courage, which the enemy exploits to hinder their progress. Through “Flaming Arrows,” I address these challenges by guiding women to recognize their value and embrace God’s truth. By dismantling the lies of the enemy and renewing their minds with biblical principles, women are empowered to step into their God-given calling with confidence.

Micayla Robertson: As a chiropractor, you play an interesting role in the intersection of faith and chiropractic medicine. Reflecting on your work, how does fear manifest in the body, and what role does trust in God play in healing?

Charlene Warren: Fear can manifest physically through tension and stress, often leading to chronic issues like headaches and muscle tightness. Trusting in God’s sovereignty and provision is essential in healing because it promotes relaxation and restoration. By surrendering fear to God and aligning with His truth, people can experience physical and spiritual healing.

Micayla Robertson: As an artist, your artistic endeavors reflect a deep connection to God’s creativity. Where do you draw inspiration for your paintings, and how does faith influence your artistic expression?

Charlene Warren: My art is a form of worship, with each piece inspired by God’s beauty and presence. I approach painting as a collaborative process with God, allowing Him to guide my brushstrokes and convey His message through art. Whether depicting landscapes or biblical themes, my faith infuses every stroke, serving as a testament to God’s creativity and grace.
